The Auckland Airport Carnival Community Night Walking Parade is going to be vibrant, bright, loud and FUN and we’ve got a few things lined up especially for the kiddies to be a part of and help us celebrate the unique Colour and Culture of Queenstown!
Make your own Masterpiece Workshops
Together with the talented team at the Queenstown Arts Centre, we’ve got some fun workshops especially for kids where they can make their own masterpiece and participate in the parade.
The experienced tutors from the Arts Centre will provide all the materials and guide kids through how to make either a Native New Zealand bird mask or Matariki star. The masterpieces then need to go home for safe keeping and then be brought back on parade day ready to show it off to Queenstown!
When: Saturday, 17th June / Sunday 18th June / Sunday, 25th June 2017, Anytime between 1-4pm
Where: Queenstown Arts Centre, Corner Ballarat & Stanley Streets - Queenstown
Open to: Children of all ages (note children under 14 require adult supervision to walk in the parade)
Cost: $5 per child towards materials (paid in cash at Arts Centre)
Note - Pre-registration for the workshops is not compulsory, but encouraged.
