Nadia Reid

Nadia Reid has claimed her place as one of New Zealand’s most evocative and profound young songwriters. Hailing from Port Chalmers, Nadia’s 2015 debut album was release to widespread critical acclaim with her new-folk sound maturing beautifully into 2017’s release of Preservation.

Experiencing the odd award shortlist along the way (NZ’s 2016 Taite Music Prize), travelling and exploring her Scottish and Irish heritage and enjoying downtime with long-time sister-from-another-mister Aldous Harding, Nadia Reid’s records stir up every emotion that she has poured into them on her journeys, rubbed with a little grit and carefully produced by Ben Edwards in his sitting room studios.

Having travelled 10,000kms in the 18 months between records, it’s clear that the time taken learning about herself is fully exposed in her music, a journey that blissfully carries you with it throughout.
