All Across It With QUIKSILVER - Day 10

Noooooooooooo!! If we stay in bed and don’t get up then Winterfest won’t come to an end…..After such a great night out, our comfy beds lured us to stay wrapped up for the morning, so wrapped up we even missed breakfast!! Constant laughter was a must as we recalled moments from the night’s antics before checking out the Quiksilver BOXES Invitational up at The Remarkables. This sikkk as event saw some of New Zealand’s best freestylers, including Nick Hyne and Thomas Battersby, throw it down in true style. Boarders and skiers flocked from all over to get in the mix but taking home the prizes were local top dauggs Dan Jenkins and Adie Lawrence. In the snowboarding Virginia man Josh Zirkel dominated and Christy Prior hailing from Akl nailed it for the girls.

From here it was back to our fav local restaurant, Lonestar run by the mega awesome Dave!! to load up and refuel with a few friends. I celebrated my birthday here back in 2006 and the crew here are tops!!! And I think I always order the same thing everytime…Tonight was no different – chicken nachos was the only way forward for me. Scoop showed us some of the photos from our adventurous night…woohoo there are some pearlers haha wait till you see them and prepare to laugh..yes at our expense!! Before we knew it, it was time for me to wander off and MC the Quiksilver After Burner Event at Revolver. Revolver was heaving!! It’s Sunday night down here and the place is pumping. DJ Maddox is ripping it on the decks and everyone is lapping up the good vibes. The crowd were super lucky too, they all received a free Quiksilver beanie when they arrived with a number inside. If their number was called out then they took home some beauty prizes thanks to Quiksilver – new ski gear, jackets, clothing, gloves – you name it they got it. One lucky punter also took home a sweet $2000.00 voucher to use in any Quiki store!!! Woop there it is… We also announced the Snap of the Day winner and Snap of the whole festival winner. A brilliant event to say sayonara to the weeks festivities…

Still in denial that the Winterfestival was coming to an end, Lisa and I decided to get some well deserved shut eye…
