Special guest Sugar Ray Leonard

Leonard, a six-time former world champion, will address the crowd before taking a ringside seat at the Mountain Scene’s “Thriller in the Chiller”.  He will also be the star attraction at an exclusive, pre-fight cocktail party to be held in Queenstown Events Centre’s Mezzanine bar. 

Winter Festival is giving 50 people a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and mingle with Leonard along with the local and celebrity contenders fighting on the night.  The cocktail event will be held immediately prior to the fight (5.30pm to 7.00pm) and people interested in attending can register their interest online at www.scene.co.nz before 5pm on Monday 21 June.  Tickets cost $295 per person and will include refreshments and nibbles.

The biggest night of charity boxing ever seen in Queenstown is here - get ready to rumble!  Local and national contenders from all walks of life will square off in a series of three-round boxing bouts in support of local charity the Bruce Grant Youth Trust.  In true Queenstown style there will be clashes between hospitality, tourism, real estate, media and much more.  We are also thrilled to have former Kiwi rugby league hero Tawera Nikau taking on TV2 Lotto presenter Russell Harrison and Sky Sports presenter Clint Brown taking on Sports Tonight Anchor Howard Dobson.   All contenders are fresh from 16 weeks of boxing training and tuition and they are fit and raring to go.  Corporate tables (black tie recommended thanks chaps and chapettes in order to look the part) and grandstand seating available.  Bring your cheque book for the charity auction.
