Getting Around
Festival action takes place in two main locations - downtown Queenstown and Coronet Peak Ski Field.
Queenstown is quite compact and walking is a fantastic way to get yourself to the majority of Festival events and to also discover the fantastic shopping, art galleries, activity booking offices, bars and restaurants that make this town tick.
For all our mountain events Coronet Peak is the place to be. Located a short distance from Queenstown you can drive your self or catch one of the many shuttle buses which operate daily from town www.skishuttle.co.nz
If you are driving and looking for a place to park so you can get downtown and enjoy the Festival action, we recommend the Man Street Carpark. Entry is off Man Street, parking is under cover and the pedistrian exit will see you to Shotover Street in downtown Queenstown.
The local bus service Connectabus, operates from early morning to late at night. Routes cover Queenstown, Frankton, Arrowtown, Millbrook Resort, Lake Hayes, Remarkables Park, Queenstown Airport, Fernhill and Sunshine Bay. Check out the Connectabus website for timetable information www.connectabus.com
Take advantage of the Night Bus which runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (and following mornings) from 11.45pm - 5.15am leaving every hour on the hour between 12.00am and 5.00am from in front of O'Connells in Camp Street. The Night Bus takes people door to door in Frankton, Arrowtown and Kelvin Heights for more information and prices please visit www.nightbus.co.nz
Taxis are always an option and pick up points are dotted around town and clearly marked. For those of you in a Budget rental car, we suggest you park it up at the Man Street Car Park.
